Biography

I am an Episcopal Priest and The Rector of St. Alban’s Episcopal Church which is in the suburbs of Philadelphia, Pa. I’ve been here for almost 10 years and prior to this parish served two parishes in Northern Virginia. I am married to Sara Barton and we have two children, Lucas who will be an 11th grader in September 2011 and Sophia who will be a 9th grader in September 2011.

Prior to being ordained I worked for three years overseas: one year doing refugee work in Sudan, one year doing refugee work in Thailand; and one year teaching in Bogotá, Colombia. I also taught high school social studies in New Jersey for two years.

I have led groups of teenagers and adults to volunteer in home rebuilding, orphanages, medical clinics, and homeless shelters in : West Virginia, South Carolina, New York City, San Diego, Honduras, Haiti, and India.
